Loose Leaf Tea Brew Guide

For a balanced, properly extracted cup with clarity and structure.

Use whole leaf tea. Add 2–3 grams of loose leaf tea per 8 oz of water (about 1 teaspoon). Heat fresh, filtered water to the appropriate temperature:

  • Green: 160–180°F
  • Oolong: 185–200°F
  • Black: 200–212°F
  • Herbal: 212°F

Pour water evenly over the leaves, ensuring full saturation. Steep precisely:

  • Green: 2–3 minutes
  • Oolong: 3–5 minutes
  • Black: 3–4 minutes
  • Herbal: 5–7 minutes

Strain or remove the infuser immediately after steeping. Serve at once. Adjust leaf quantity slightly for strength—do not extend steep time.
